We are currently recruiting for a Shift Technician to join our client in Moray on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity with a company who are a leader in there industry.

Your role will be to safely carry out operations to meet or exceed daily targets, ensuring compliance with operational policies and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Anaerobic Digestion plant and equipment via automated (SCADA) and manual inputs
  • Monitor and report on critical control parameters
  • Troubleshoot plant operations and correct process deviations
  • Charge feed stock and consumables as required
  • Conduct regular plant walkarounds and take meter readings
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks and record findings in CMMS
  • Liaise with maintenance team and raise work orders for unplanned maintenance
  • Create permits to work for maintenance/engineering activities
  • Accurately complete data entry, including shift handover logs and site databases
  • Assist in preparing compliance documentation, including Risk Assessments and SOPs
  • Perform basic lab testing activities
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental standards and report observations
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and be audit-ready daily
  • Remote monitoring of Grissan Carnside during night shift and contact person on call for urgent issues.

Skills & Behaviours:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexible to work on shift patterns and provide cover as necessary
  • Ability to work alone and make decisions independently
  • Strong initiative, multi-tasking ability, and fast-paced work ethic
  • Knowledge of SOPs and Risk Assessments
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong team ethic, integrity, honesty, and attention to detail
  • Proactive problem-solving skills

Experience:

  • 2+ years in a similar role or relevant experience in plant operations
  • Experience with SCADA/Control systems and basic maintenance in a plant environment
  • Preferred experience with ATEX zoned areas, shift patterns, lone working, working at height, and under a QMS

Qualifications:

  • NC level in engineering discipline (mechanical/electrical/chemical) or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
  • Preferred: HNC/HND/Degree in engineering, IOSH Managing Safely, FLT/Telehandler licence.
  • Full driving licence required due to site location and vehicle driving responsibilities.
