We are recruiting Teachers for a large and highly successful special school educating over 170 students aged  11-19 in Huyton, who, due to their Autism and associated learning differences, require significant specialist teachers to encourage them to succeed academically and achieve their full potential. 

Teacher Details 

Full Time, Term Time 

Teacher Rate: £150 - £200 per day

Teacher Working hours: 8:30am-3:30pm 195 days a year as per school’s term dates 

Contract: Temp to Permanent

The main responsibilities for the post are to: 

  • Support students with their socio-emotional engagement with learning and promote  independence in a safe environment. 

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for  each student. 

  • Promote the inclusion of all students, so that all have equal opportunities to feel included  and to contribute to school life. 

  • Create a supportive and relaxed working environment that makes students feel happy and secure. 

  • Implement the positive behaviour approaches set out by the school, including Restorative  Practice and Zones of Regulation.

A good understanding of behaviour as communication, attachment theory, SEMH needs in the  classroom, and theory underlying nurture provision are ideal for any professional working in our  school.
