Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for your next challenge? You'll work on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, performing servicing, diagnostics, and repairs. Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician
- Carry out servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles as a skilled Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
- Plan and execute repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards
- Work collaboratively with a team to maintain high workshop productivity
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Follow company and industry processes and procedures, including health and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing training and skills development
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician
Essential
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI)
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- HGV Class 1 licence
- IRTEC qualification
- Flexible approach with strong attention to detail
