We’re hiring for a Plater to join a leading manufacturer based in Hyde, Tameside. You’ll work within a skilled fabrication team producing high-quality components for a range of industries.

What will you be doing as a Plater?

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to fabricate products accurately to specification
  • Forming and assembling steel components using hand and power tools
  • Operating equipment including MIG weld tracking, seam weld, grinders, rolling machines, guillotines, auto-feed saws, and punch press
  • Carrying out quality inspections to ensure finished components meet required standards
  • Working to production targets while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency

What do you need?

  • Experience in a similar fabrication or plating role within a manufacturing environment
  • Time-served apprenticeship (advantageous)
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Current knowledge of fabrication tools and manufacturing processes
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
