The school caters for pupils aged 4-16 with a wide range of complex learning needs, including autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The school is known for its nurturing ethos, strong multi-agency collaboration, and commitment to personalised learning pathways. Set in a modern, purpose-built facility, the school offers a highly inclusive environment where pupils are supported through a combination of therapeutic interventions, tailored curriculum access, and structured routines. Staff work closely with families and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive both academically and emotionally.

As SEND Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the school's provision for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the annual review process for pupils with EHCPs
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted within statutory timeframes
  • Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies, and local authority SEND teams
  • Maintain and update EHCP records and pupil profiles
  • Support staff in implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Contribute to strategic planning around SEND provision and pupil outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and support strategies

  • Ability to build positive relationships with families and professionals
  • A proactive, empathetic, and solution-focused approach
  • Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or inclusion (e.g. NASENCO, Level 3/4 in SEND)

  • Competitive rates of pay
  • Access to professional development and training
  • Dedicated support from your local Hays consultant
  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles
  • Make a meaningful impact in a specialist educational setting
