Production Engineer for three AVK UK sites - Manchester, Chesterfield and Northampton.

AVK UK is a leading manufacturer of valves, hydrants, and accessories for water, gas, and wastewater infrastructure. With a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation, AVK UK serves a diverse range of sectors, providing reliable solutions for both domestic and industrial markets. Their products are engineered to ensure the highest levels of safety and efficiency in water and gas distribution systems.

We are looking for a Production Engineer to drive operational productivity improvement and process optimisation through standardised work methods, process improvement and effective performance measures.

Other responsibilities of the Production Engineer include:

  • Travelling across our three UK sites in Manchester, Chesterfield and Northampton to work with stakeholders to evaluate existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, develop proposal and implement changes.
  • Assess existing process layouts and equipment, develop the future state in line with strategical objectives and lead initiatives to update accordingly.
  • Supporting the introduction of new processes and equipment through the development of layout plans, operational requirements, testing plans, SOP's, risk assessments, training and ensure a smooth handover to operations.

About you:

  • The successful Production Engineer will have:
  • A Engineering Degree or HND Level 5 + or equivalent
  • Project management experience (qualification desirable)
  • Practical experience with Solidworks CAD System
  • Experience of Automation and SCADA systems
  • Working knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles
  • UK Driving Licence
