Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Leader to join World Duty Free, based in Crawley on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities   

As an experienced Shift Leader you will have the ability to work collaboratively with peers and motivate others. Be able to communicate effectively, engage in continuous development and be able to prioritise and provide solutions.  

 

Your responsibilities will be to:   

  • Drive a culture of respect & inclusivity throughout logistics.  
  • Adherence to all business, HSE processes, policies & compliance at all times  
  • Inspire your team to achieve and exceed warehouse KPI's  
  • Enabling the full potential of your team and individual team members by continuous coaching and tailoring their development  

Working as a key management team member to ensure the smooth daily running of all departments to outstanding operational standards.  

  • Leading by example and demonstrating behaviours in line with our values  
  • Collaborate with colleagues to best make use of talent.  
  • Engage and update team on business needs and targets.  
  • Manage & maintain key operational / department equipment, assets & materials to ensure smooth daily running within working area.  
  • To lead, motivate and develop individuals to create a high performing team.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service both internally and externally through collaborative working with colleagues and the efficient resolution of customer & supplier queries.
  • Always demonstrate a professional & respectful manner.

 

    Shift Pattern     

   4on 4 off

   6am-6pm 

   Overtime may be available but is not guaranteed.  

     Pay Rate   

   £33,000

   Person Specification    

  • Experience within a busy logistical environment and manual handling would be beneficial  
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit are essential!  
  • Must be hardworking & reliable with an excellent work ethic  
  • Have no unspent criminal convictions - If you are successful at interview, you will be required to apply for a Criminal Record Check                                                                                   

Due to this role being within a warehouse that supplies UK Airports, you must qualify.   Therefore, you will need to be able to provide the following information:  

  • 5-year checkable history (employment, self-employment, education or benefit claim)  
  • Eligibility to work in UK (UK Passport, EU Passport, Non-EU Passport & Visa, Biometric  Residence Permit, UK Birth Certificate along with photo ID
  • Provide proof of NI (pay slip/P45/P60 etc)  
  • Provide proof of address dated within the last 3mths (utility bill, bank statement, HMRC Letter)
