Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher with a talent for inspiring young learners?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly respected, Ofsted Outstanding independent SEN school on the outskirts of Southampton to recruit a KS2 Class Teacher who is committed to transforming the lives of children with complex needs.

This unique opportunity offers the chance to work in a small, supportive school environment that caters to students with ASD, SEMH, attachment difficulties, and behavioural challenges. With access to a school farm and Outdoor Learning Centre, and supported by high staff ratios and therapeutic teams, the school delivers highly personalised education to every pupil.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging and inclusive KS2 lessons aligned with the national curriculum
  • Supporting children with SEN in a nurturing and well-structured classroom environment
  • Inspiring and motivating learners using a creative, multi-sensory approach
  • Working as part of a close-knit, supportive team to drive excellent learning outcomes
  • Contributing to a safe, positive, and restorative learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience working with SEN students, preferably within a primary setting
  • Strong knowledge of early English and Maths teaching methods
  • Read Write Inc. or similar phonics programme training (preferred)
  • A dynamic and adaptable teaching style, with strong classroom management
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork
  • Full UK driving licence – desirable
