Stock Controller
Hythe, Kent

Permanent 

Hours: 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday

08:00 to 13:00 Friday

Salary: £12.50 DOE and reviewed after probation period
Benefits: Quarterly performance bonus, contributory pension scheme, increasing holiday entitlement, free onsite parking, early Friday finish, close to bus routes

Our client is a well-established, industry-leading UK sub-contract manufacturer based in Kent.  With over 50 years of experience in producing high-specification components.

In this role, you’ll support the accurate receipt and distribution of goods, maintain stock levels, assist production cells, and help with dispatch and raw material stores coverage. You’ll be integral to keeping our operations running smoothly.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring accurate receipts of sub-contracted orders and consumables
  • Distributing purchased items across the business
  • Maintaining stock levels of work in progress and bought-in components
  • Assisting production cells with stock records
  • Supporting dispatch of finished goods
  • Covering raw material stores during holidays

 

You’ll need to bring:

  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy and experience with stock control systems
  • Attention to detail and adaptability
  • A methodical and flexible approach
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to learn

Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial. Forklift and side loader operation experience is a plus, though full training will be provided.
