Quantum Scholars are proud to be acting as an agency on behalf of an "Outstanding" secondary school in East London, currently seeking to appoint an ambitious and dedicated Lead Teacher of Physics for a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-achieving, well-resourced science department in a school that places academic excellence and student development at the heart of its mission. A Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of A-Level Physics (preferably AQA syllabus) and ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the department.

  • Support and develop the wider Physics and Science curriculum across all Key Stages.

  • Mentor and guide colleagues within the Physics team to promote best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor student progress and implement effective strategies to raise attainment.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and curriculum development.

  • Actively support the school's ethos and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently teaching A-Level Physics, ideally following the AQA syllabus.

  • Proven track record of outstanding classroom teaching and securing strong student outcomes.

  • Experience in leading, mentoring, or supporting colleagues is desirable.

  • Excellent subject knowledge and passion for Physics.

  • Must be available to start in January 2026.

  • Right to Work in the UK or eligible for sponsorship - sponsorship is available for the right candidate.
