As a Chef de Partie at The Raglan, you are responsible for running a designated kitchen section to the highest standard. You must manage your prep and service with efficiency, organisation, and attention to detail. CDPs are expected to demonstrate excellent cooking skills, support junior team members, and maintain strong communication with the Head and Sous Chefs.
This is a hands-on role where consistency, cleanliness, and accountability are key. You are also expected to follow all hygiene, allergen, and food safety procedures rigorously and contribute to a positive, solutions-focused kitchen culture
Main ResponsibilitiesRun your designated section during service and prep.
Deliver consistently high standards in cooking, plating, and cleanliness.
Prep for service and cover mis en place lists thoroughly and on time.
Maintain accurate allergen knowledge and labelling on all dishes.
Support junior chefs with guidance and clear instruction.
Keep fridges, dry store, and section clean, labelled, and organised.
Communicate clearly with Sous/Head Chef and FOH regarding timing, changes, or covers.
Skills & Attributes
Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen
Skilled and confident in section management
Strong organisation, timekeeping, and cleanliness
Solid knowledge of allergen management and food safety
Good communication and teamwork under pressure
Pride in quality, detail, and consistency
Willingness to learn, improve, and contribute positively to the team
