Remedy connects skilled education support staff with schools across London. We are currently recruiting a Food Technology / DT Technician to join a secondary school in East London from January on a full time, long term basis.

Job Overview:
As a Food Technology / DT Technician, you will support the smooth running of Food Technology and Design Technology lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare materials, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and well organised learning environment. The ideal Food Technology / DT Technician will have experience supporting practical lessons within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare ingredients, materials, and equipment for Food Technology and DT lessons.
* Maintain and clean specialist equipment and workspaces.
* Ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times.
* Support teachers during practical lessons where required.
* Manage stock levels and place orders for supplies.
* Carry out routine checks on equipment and report any faults.

Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Food Technology / DT Technician or similar role.
* Experience working in a secondary school is desirable.
* Good knowledge of health and safety procedures in practical environments.
* Organised, reliable, and able to work independently.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
