We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Door Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying, estimating, and pricing fire door installation, replacement, and remedial works in line with current fire safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out on-site and desktop surveys of fire doors and associated components

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for fire door projects

  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and fire safety requirements

  • Ensure all estimates comply with relevant standards (e.g. BS 476, BS 8214, BM TRADA, FIRAS)

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation

  • Support project planning and value engineering where required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fire Door Estimator, Surveyor, or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, compliance, and certification schemes

  • Ability to accurately measure, assess, and cost fire door works

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software

  • Full UK driving licence (if site visits are required)

Desirable

  • Fire door inspection or installation qualifications

  • Experience working in social housing, commercial, or public sector projects

  • Membership of a relevant professional body
