Food Technician – Full-time, long-term temporary cover starting January 2026 and ongoingThe school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe and supported. Prepare and organise ingredients and equipment for Food Technology lessons
Maintain and manage kitchen equipment and ensure a safe working environment
Assist teachers in setting up practical activities and demonstrations
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as required
Support pupils during practical sessions where appropriate
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the Food Technology department
Contribute to the smooth running of the department

Ideal Food Technician:

Previous experience working in a Food Technology department or similar role is desirable
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and pupils
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an educational setting
Practical skills to support food preparation and cooking activities
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
