General overview of the position:

This role involves post completion work in the New Build Team

Main duties and responsibilities:

To include:

  • Submitting stamp duty returns
  • Communicating with clients, agents and other parties.
  • Making applications to the Land Registry documentation such as AP1s
  • Drafting applications to HMLR using the online portal
  • Respond to any Requisitions or queries raised by the Land Registry and other relevant parties
  • Adhering to lender’s compliance conditions and updating the lenders on their applications
  • Updating lender panels using online portal
  • Dealing with Land Registry, Mortgage Lenders and other relevant parties
  • Preparing files for closure and archiving
  • Any other relevant administrative duties to assist the New Build Team

Other Duties

Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title, at the solicitor’s direction

Person Specification

Job Title

Post Completion Administrator with extensive experience covering backlog of work

Preferred

Education/Qualifications:

  • Good standard of GSCEs
  • CILEX Level 3 - Legal Secretarial course or equivalent
  • Excellent typing skills and Conveyancing exposure

Experience:

  • Some Legal secretary experience
  • Practical experience of handling client enquiries both by telephone and face to face.
  • General business administration
  • Worked previously in a law firm (Knowledge of the Help to Buy scheme)

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Computer Literate and a working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (50+wpm)
  • Writing and oral communication skills
  • IT skills
  • Organisational skills
