Job Role & Client Information:

Active Recruitment are looking to recruit a Head of Additional Resource Provision (ARP) for a mainstream school based in Redbridge, East London. Our client is an 11-19 school and have recently undergone a very successful Ofsted inspection. They are overseen by an exceptional Headteacher, and the ARP is at full capacity with 5 years groups from Year 7 to 11. 

The provision supports students whose needs cannot be met solely with mainstream schools but for whom an SEN school would limit their achievement.

The aim of the provision is to provide structure, independence, preparation for adulthood and access enough to level 2 at KS4 with a view to progress level 3 courses at KS5. 

Candidate profile: 
The successful candidate will:

•    Take responsibly for the day-to-day operations of the ARP.
•    Plan, implement and deliver high quality teaching across the ARP and mainstream school.
•    Lead on curriculum development and implementation.
•    Lead on development of department resources.
•    Lead on communication with parents.
•    Line-manage support staff.
•    Support transition of students at key transition points.
•    Analyse data to set ambitious targets for students in terms of future attainment, mainstream lesson.
•    access and qualifications achieved.
•    Collaborate across the Trust to share good practice and support improvements to the provision.
