Reeson Education is recruiting an experienced KS2 Teacher to take on a Year 6 class in a large and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest. This role is ideal for a confident KS2 Teacher with strong classroom management skills and experience preparing pupils for end-of-year SATs.

This is not a role for an ECT - the school is seeking a KS2 Teacher with a proven record of raising attainment, delivering high-quality teaching, and maintaining high expectations for pupil progress and behaviour.



Role Details for the KS2 Teacher:

  • Pay: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)

  • Start Date: April 2025 (Easter term start)

  • Location: Waltham Forest, East London

  • Contract: Full-time, long-term or permanent for the right candidate



Responsibilities of a KS2 Teacher:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for Year 6 pupils

  • Prepare pupils for SATs, ensuring they achieve their full academic potential

  • Create a supportive and structured classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with the wider KS2 team to share best practice and maintain consistency

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on pupil progress



Requirements for the KS2 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience within KS2

  • Experience teaching Year 6 and preparing pupils for SATs is essential

  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
