About the Role: Nurturing Foundations in Our Baby Room
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a thriving specialist nursery committed to exceptional early years development. In this crucial role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for the youngest children, implementing enriching learning experiences and routines aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will work collaboratively with a talented team, build strong partnerships with families, and play a key role in shaping the foundational years of each child's development.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong EYFS Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and a commitment to its principles.
- Best Practice Adherence: Ability to work in accordance with nursery policies and procedures and a professional code of conduct.
- Effective Key Person Skills: Proven ability to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of a key person and key worker.
- Child-Centred Planning: Experience in planning engaging and individualised learning experiences based on children's interests.
- Observation & Assessment Expertise: Competence in observing, recording, and using children's progress to inform future planning.
- Accurate Record Keeping: Ability to maintain detailed and organised records of children's development, both manually and digitally.
- Report Writing Skills: Capability to create comprehensive summative reports that effectively outline children's progress and future learning steps.
- Parent Partnership Approach: Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Compliance Focus: Commitment to adhering to all record-keeping and safeguarding requirements.
- Health & Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of health and safety regulations in an early years setting.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to participate in team meetings.
- Essential Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
- Essential Qualification:Level 3 Award (Early Years Educator).
- Work Environment: This is an in-person role at the nursery.
Salary & Schedule:
- Salary: £27,000.00 - £30,000.00 per year
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with potential for overtime.
