Reeson Education is working with a large and high-achieving primary school in Walthamstow that is seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their vibrant team from November 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, skilled, and motivated Year 6 Teacher who thrives on helping pupils reach their full potential during this pivotal stage of their primary education.
This position is not suitable for ECTs - the school is specifically looking for an experienced Year 6 Teacher who has a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and a proven track record of preparing pupils for SATs.
The Role - Year 6 Teacher:
As a Year 6 Teacher, you will take responsibility for a bright and enthusiastic class in the final year of primary school. You'll deliver engaging and structured lessons, ensuring that every pupil feels supported and challenged. The ideal Year 6 Teacher will have high expectations of learning, behaviour, and achievement.

Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: November 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent)
Location: Walthamstow, Waltham Forest
The Ideal Year 6 Teacher Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience as a Year 6 Teacher (minimum one full academic year in Year 6)
Excellent knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs preparation
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to fostering independence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning
