Graduate Teaching Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant who wants to gain hands-on classroom and SEN experience before progressing into teacher training, educational psychology, or further study.

Schools in Walthamstow, Leyton and Chingford regularly call for Graduate Teaching Assistants who can step in to support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant on daily supply, you will be able to choose your working days while developing your skills in different school environments.

• Rate: 82.14-100 per day

• Start: ASAP

• Contract: Daily supply - fully flexible

• Location: Waltham Forest

• Ideal For: Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Sociology or similar graduates

• Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support

• Assist class teachers with learning activities and classroom management

• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement

• Work across different year groups to broaden experience

• Adapt quickly to new routines and school settings

• A degree (Psychology or Education highly desirable)

• Passion for supporting children with SEN

• Strong communication and resilience

• Ability to work flexibly and confidently

• A proactive, patient and nurturing approach
