About the School:
An Ofsted 'Good' school located in Ilford, East London are looking for Teaching Assistants to support students with communication and focus needs (aged 6-13). Looking for passionate people with a strong academic background.

About the role - Teaching Assistant:
Providing 1:1 support and assistance to students throughout the school. Working alongside talented teachers, Behaviour support team and supportive senior leaders, the role is ideal for someone looking to support young people looking to gain confidence and life-skills while at school.

The role will consist of:

  • Offering support to the class teacher.
  • Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
  • Building good student - teacher rapport.

The successful applicants will have:

  • Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties.
  • Previous experience managing challenging behaviour.
  • Strong academic background
  • Ideally experience working with children and/or young people.
  • Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check.

To be eligible for this role you must have an Enhanced Child or Child & Adult Workforce barred list DBS Certificate registered on the update service.
