General Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Location: Canning Town, East London
Pay: 95 - 115 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and academically strong General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Canning Town. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or aspiring teacher who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a nurturing school environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils across the classroom, helping them achieve their full academic potential while encouraging a love for learning.
The role:
Support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the curriculum
Work with small groups and individual pupils to boost understanding and confidence
Assist in preparing learning materials and reinforcing key concepts during lessons
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree or strong academic background, ideally in English, Maths, or a related subject
Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting
Be confident, proactive, and passionate about supporting learning and development
Be an excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS certificate
