About the Role

Redbridge is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Manager to oversee their fostering team. This is a crucial role where you'll be responsible for leading a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality fostering services, and providing exceptional support to foster carers and children in care.

You'll play a vital part in:

  • Providing strong leadership and supervision to a team of fostering social workers.
  • Ensuring the effective recruitment, assessment, and support of foster carers.
  • Upholding high standards of practice and compliance with fostering regulations and legislation.
  • Contributing to the strategic development and improvement of the fostering service.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.


About You

We're looking for a qualified social worker with substantial post-qualifying experience in fostering, including experience at a supervisory or management level. You'll possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of fostering legislation, regulations, and best practice.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
