Behaviour Support Mentor - East London
Location: East London
Pay: 100-125 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term role
We are seeking a patient, confident, and proactive Behaviour Support Mentor to join a supportive school in East London. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional behavioural and emotional support to thrive in the classroom.
The Role:
Support pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional needs across the school.
Work 1:1 and in small groups to encourage positive engagement and focus.
Implement behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to promote a calm learning environment.
Liaise closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support and progress.
Act as a positive role model, helping students develop confidence, self-regulation, and resilience.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience supporting students with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A proactive and compassionate approach to helping young people succeed.
Experience in a school or youth work setting is highly desirable.
