About the Role:
An Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking an experienced and confident Year 5 Teacher to join their team for the remainder of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to step into a welcoming, well-supported environment with the option of a longer-term or permanent position from September 2025 if desired.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing timely feedback

  • Contribute to wider school life, including planning meetings and extracurricular activities

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven teaching experience within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

  • Strong behaviour management strategies and confident classroom presence

  • Ability to quickly establish rapport with pupils and colleagues

  • Available to start immediately and commit for the summer term
