Teacher of Food Technology – September 2025

Salary: M1 – UPS3 (Outer London)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Vision Teaching is working in partnership with a multi academy trust (MAT) in Ilford to recruit a passionate and driven Teacher of Food Technology for a September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-achieving school environment. The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 at GCSE and vocational level and will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students to achieve their best. We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable teacher who demonstrates a clear passion for the subject and a commitment to high standards in education. The role suits an experienced teacher or a strong ECT looking to grow within a supportive and progressive trust.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Teach both GCSE and vocational food courses

  • Plan, prepare, and assess engaging and effective lessons

  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust

  • Commit to ongoing professional development and safeguarding practices

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree (essential)

  • QTS or PGCE equivalent

  • At least 1 year of UK based secondary teaching experience

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Reflective, adaptable, and committed to safeguarding and equality

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
