An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Southwark from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a teacher with a passion for sport, fitness, and holistic student development. You will be part of a supportive department committed to promoting physical health, teamwork, and personal achievement through sport and physical education.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities available depending on experience).
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons, adapting to the needs of all students.
Organise and participate in extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and competitions.
Promote physical literacy, health, and well-being in line with the national curriculum.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives on student health, discipline, and achievement.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct within the PE department and school-wide.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in a relevant subject (Sport Science, Physical Education, etc.).
Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply).
Strong classroom management and motivational skills.
Ability to lead or support a range of sports and physical activities.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
