About the Role: As our Permanent Teacher of Science (Chemistry Specialist), you will play a crucial role in shaping our students' scientific understanding, particularly in the field of Chemistry. You will deliver engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, bringing the fascinating world of molecules, reactions, and the elements to life in the classroom. You will inspire students to develop strong scientific skills and a lifelong curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated Science lessons, with a focus on Chemistry content.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed in Science.
- Develop and share high-quality teaching resources and contribute to the Science curriculum, particularly Chemistry.
- Track student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and implement effective interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and the wider school community.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities that promote an interest in Science, especially Chemistry.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully teaching Science at secondary level, with a clear strength and passion for Chemistry.
- A deep passion for Chemistry and the ability to convey its relevance and excitement to students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
