Reeson Education is looking for caring and adaptable Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of friendly and inclusive primary schools in Waltham Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant or someone looking to build experience supporting children with additional learning needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and SENCOs to help children who need extra support to succeed both academically and socially. Roles are available for immediate start, with the flexibility to choose the days you work across the week.
Role Details for the Learning Support Assistant:
Pay: 82.14-100 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Across schools in Waltham Forest, including Walthamstow, Leyton, and Chingford
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm, flexible days available
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with additional needs such as autism (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language delays
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Encourage pupil engagement and positive behaviour in the classroom
Support pupils' emotional well-being and social development
Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure every child reaches their potential
Requirements for the Learning Support Assistant:
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant preferred
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Confidence supporting children with additional or complex needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow teacher guidance
Flexibility to work in different schools and year groups
