About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering safe, nurturing, and high-quality care that promotes the wellbeing and development of young people. You will manage day-to-day operations and lead a team that shares your dedication to making a meaningful impact.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing, passionate team
- Providing effective support for children and young people with EBD and complex needs
- Creating a therapeutic, child-centred environment that fosters emotional growth and resilience
- Building strong working relationships with external professionals, families, and regulatory bodies
- Driving continuous service improvement and preparing confidently for Ofsted inspections
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will bring leadership experience, compassion, and a deep understanding of residential childcare.
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s home
- Proven ability to support and manage children with EBD and challenging behaviours
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and care standards
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving License preferred – travel between Ilford & Bexley is required
