About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is eager to make a real difference in pupils' learning and development.

You will be working closely with class teachers and the school's SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and behavioural challenges.

  • Assist the class teacher in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Implement strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals (e.g., speech and language therapists, educational psychologists).

  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and behavioural management, using positive behaviour strategies.

  • Help prepare and adapt classroom materials to meet the needs of individual learners.

  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, feeding back to teachers and parents when necessary.

  • Understanding of supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Psychology or SEN-related degree) are desirable but not essential.

What Remedy Offers

  • Competitive daily pay rates (97-115 per day, depending on experience).

  • Long-term opportunities with the potential to secure a permanent role.

  • Supportive schools with a strong focus on staff development and pupil wellbeing.
