Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: East London
Start Date: January
School Type: 2-Form Entry Primary School (OFSTED Good)

We are looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming 2-form entry, OFSTED Good primary school in East London, starting in January.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning and make positive progress both academically and socially.

The Role:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Support learning across the curriculum in and out of the classroom

  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and individual support plans

  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and support staff

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Confident supporting children with a range of additional needs

  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
