Reeson Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teacher for a well-established SEN school in Chingford, Waltham Forest, starting January 2025. This is an exceptional opportunity for an SEN Teacher who is confident supporting pupils with complex additional needs and who thrives in a specialist, structured and nurturing environment.

This SEN school caters for pupils with autism, speech & language needs, SEMH, sensory needs, developmental delays and a wide range of learning differences. As an SEN Teacher, you will lead a supported class of pupils with tailored learning programmes and work closely with specialist staff, therapists and parents to ensure every child progresses emotionally, socially and academically.



SEN Teacher - Key Details

  • Daily Rate: 190-235

Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher

  • Teaching a small class of pupils with a range of special educational needs

  • Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons linked to EHCPs

  • Implementing communication and behaviour-support strategies

  • Working closely with SEN Teaching Assistants and therapy staff

  • Creating a predictable, calm and supportive learning environment

  • Using creative approaches to build engagement, independence and confidence

  • Monitoring progress and maintaining strong communication with families



We're Looking For

  • An experienced SEN Teacher with strong SEN knowledge and behaviour understanding

  • Someone confident teaching pupils with autism, SEMH, sensory needs, SLCN or MLD/SLD

  • A calm, nurturing practitioner with resilience and adaptability

  • A collaborative teacher who works effectively within a multi-disciplinary SEN team

  • QTS required - this SEN Teacher role
