Position: SENCO 

Start date: January 2026 

Location: Redbridge 

Salary: Outer London - MPS/UPS 

Contract: Permanent 

Smart Teachers are recruiting a committed and experienced SENCO to join a large, inclusive secondary academy in East London from January 2026.

The successful candidate will work closely with the existing SENCO team to lead, manage and develop SEND provision across the campus, ensuring that all students with additional needs receive the highest quality support and learning opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the strategic development of SEND provision

  • Leading a team of experienced SEN practitioners and support staff

  • Coordinating EHCP processes and ensuring statutory compliance

  • Providing professional guidance and training to staff

  • Supporting inclusive teaching and learning across the curriculum

This role is ideal for a qualified SENCO or experienced teacher with the National Award for SEN Coordination and a strong track record in supporting students with additional needs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
