Fully Remote, South-East Based

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Test engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for a person to work in the South of England based near to High Wycombe or surrounding area. The CWCT Tester will collaborate with other members of the team attending site and learning to Test window systems on residential and commercial businesses as part of our UKAS accredited CWCT testing (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology). This involves subjecting windows, curtain walling or cladding systems to various tests for water penetration, to determine their serviceability once installed.

Full in-house training will be given by our experienced team.

Duties

- Working in a 2-person team on site.

- Conducting tests in accordance with our UKAS procedures.

- Safe transportation of equipment to and from the test site by vehicle and manually as required.

- Liaising with site agents and personnel in a professional way.

- Observe all health and safety policies, procedures, and standards to ensure duties are conducted safely and risks are minimised.

- Perform any other ad hoc duties as required with the role.

Experience

- CSCS card (Evidence of a passed CITB operatives health and safety test will suffice at this stage).

- Good IT skills and ability to use spreadsheets, email and manage files.

- Good numeracy skills.

- Holds and maintains a valid, full UK driving licence.

- Flexible attitude towards work and working hours (regularly needing to be on site for inductions at 8am).

- Prepared to spend nights away from home on a varying shift pattern.

- Prepared to drive distances between 90 and 120 minutes to get to site in a typical day.

- Tolerant of heights -this is essential, as the role may involve working on the exterior of tall buildings and scaffolding.

- Must be capable of physical work.

- Knowledge of building regulations and environmental compliance regulations would be advantageous.
