Job Overview:
As a Design & Food Technology Teacher, you'll inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, understand nutrition, and explore design, engineering, and problem-solving. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Food Technology and Design & Technology, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues. The role is ideal for a teacher confident in one subject and happy to teach aspects of the other, or someone with strengths across both areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology and Design & Technology.
Inspire students to develop creativity, technical ability, and practical life skills.
Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
Collaborate with other staff and contribute to departmental development.
Support school academic goals and exam preparation.
Requirements:
QTS or QTLS certification.
PGCE or equivalent qualification.
Passion for teaching as a Design & Food Technology Teacher.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Openness to teaching across both subjects (support will be provided).
