Repairs Supervisor - Social Housing

Location: East London
Salary: 45,000 per annum
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Full-Time

We are currently working with a respected social housing provider in East London who are looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to residents.



Role Overview

As the Repairs Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of operatives delivering responsive repairs, void works, and minor planned maintenance across a portfolio of social housing properties. You'll ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent tenant satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of trade operatives (direct and/or subcontractors)

  • Oversee the delivery of responsive day-to-day repairs and void property works

  • Carry out pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction

  • Monitor performance against KPIs, ensuring timely completion of jobs and effective use of resources

  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve issues

  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety compliance across all activities

  • Contribute to ongoing service improvements and efficiency initiatives



Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the social housing sector

  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and compliance standards

  • Excellent team management and organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure

  • Good communication and IT skills

  • Valid UK driving licence (essential)

  • Relevant trade qualification or technical background is desirable



Contract Details

  • Temp to perm opportunity (initial 6 months temporary, with permanent contract offered based on performance)

  • Covering East London area

  • Salary of 45,000 per annum

  • Immediate start available
