We are currently working with a respected social housing provider in East London who are looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Role Overview
As the Repairs Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of operatives delivering responsive repairs, void works, and minor planned maintenance across a portfolio of social housing properties. You'll ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage a team of trade operatives (direct and/or subcontractors)
Oversee the delivery of responsive day-to-day repairs and void property works
Carry out pre- and post-inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction
Monitor performance against KPIs, ensuring timely completion of jobs and effective use of resources
Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal departments to resolve issues
Maintain a strong focus on health and safety compliance across all activities
Contribute to ongoing service improvements and efficiency initiatives
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role within the social housing sector
Strong knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and compliance standards
Excellent team management and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure
Good communication and IT skills
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
Relevant trade qualification or technical background is desirable

Temp to perm opportunity (initial 6 months temporary, with permanent contract offered based on performance)

Salary of 45,000 per annum
