Shift Engineer
Salary: Competitive | Full-Time | Permanent | 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

Are you a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer with a passion for keeping production moving? Were on the lookout for a Shift Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing site in Ilkeston.

Working on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights), youll be the go-to engineer on shift diagnosing, fixing, and improving a wide range of plant, machinery, and site services. From breakdowns and PPM to continuous improvement and development projects, no two days are the same!

What Youll Do:
  • Carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance (PPM & RM)

  • Support production with line changes and breakdown recovery

  • Tackle faults head-on and keep equipment running smoothly

  • Work safely, effectively, and independently across the site

  • Be part of site projects and development initiatives

What Were Looking For:
  • 3+ years in a similar maintenance role

  • Multi-skilled (mechanical/electrical) trade qualified

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Flexible, team-focused and calm under pressure

  • Confident working solo and taking the lead on shift
