- We are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the engineering function at a food manufacturing site in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area.
- This leadership role requires an experienced engineering professional with a strong technical background and excellent people management skills.
- The candidate should have a proven track record in engineering leadership within a food manufacturing environment and possess strong Mechanical/Electrical Engineering expertise.
- The position involves managing a team of engineers, improving Planned Preventative Maintenance, and overseeing the site CAPEX plan.
- A competitive salary is offered, and candidates should have significant experience in engineering leadership, ideally with a background in food manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers.
- Deliver the engineering strategy with a clear focus on prevention rather than firefighting.
- Own and improve Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across the site.
- Partner with Operations and New Product Development to support smooth product launches and line changes.
- Responsible for the site CAPEX plan, from scoping through to delivery.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through to handover.
Candidate criteria:
- Strong background in engineering leadership within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical grounding in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- Proven track record of developing engineering teams.
- Right to work in UK.
