Eaton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a business based in Ilkeston who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave . You'll be joining a close-knit team that values honesty, hard work, and a good sense of humour. They are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to help them stay on top of day-to-day transactional duties. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts
- Daily Bank posting and reconciliations
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Journal Posting
- Handling invoice and payment queries internally and externally
- Intercompany payments and reconciliations
- Assist in month-end end closing processes
- Manage the petty cash
- Processing of expenses for the correct period
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Foreign Currency banking
- Support the purchase ledger function
Person Profile:
- Previous experience in a finance or bookkeeping role
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to support in a small team
- The ability to work independently and take initiative, but also collaborate closely with others
- Enjoys working in a small team
Please note, this role is based on site 5 days a week, but they do offer a 32.25 hour working week with an early finish on a Friday. Flexibility with working hours is available with the position.
