We are supporting a market-leading manufacturer in their search for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their growing engineering team at their Ilkeston site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and ambitious business that invests heavily in its people and facilities.
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Maintain and repair DC motors and associated drives
- Service and repair electrical control systems
- Carry out electrical and/or mechanical installation work
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance (mechanical and electrical)
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns on industrial and process control systems
- Carry out repairs on extrusion plant equipment
- Liaise with and support external contractors and suppliers on site
- MUST BE ABLE TO DO 4 ON 4 OFF DAYS AND NIGHTS
The Person
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A recognised electrical or mechanical maintenance apprenticeship/training scheme (Level 3)
- Significant electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
- A full driving licence (may be required to assist at other sites)
