Press Brake Programmer Operator

Skilled Press Brake programmer & Operator required in a busy engineering environment.

You will be responsible for producing a range of sheet metal parts both standard and bespoke working to precision standards.

The role:

  • Programming and operating Bystronic Press Brake
  • Working on one offs, small and large batches
  • Reading and working to drawings
  • Calculating of materials and bend tolerances
  • Setting up tooling and materials
  • Selection and creation of programs, making small programming changes and full programming for one offs
  • Quality checking of produced parts
  • Working to production deadlines

The Person;

  • A highly confident Press Brake programmer & operator who has previously worked with Bystronic, Trumpf, Amada or LVD
  • You must have previous experience of setting and operating and ideally some programming.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Be familiar with different materials and have worked to precision tolerances
  • Have a keen eye for details
  • Be able to work in a targeted production environment
  • Min level 2, ideally level 3 qualified in metal fabrication / engineering or equivalent

The company & benefits

This company design and manufacture mechanical and special purpose products. The work will be varied and challenging.

You would work fixed shifts and there are 2 shifts available:

Early shift 6am-2:15pm M-F, 17.31- 19.78 (DOE)& inclusive of 10% shift allowance

Late shift 2:15pm-12.30am M-W 2:15pm-12am Thur - 19.78 - 22.48 (DOE) &inclusive of 25% shift allowance

25 days holiday plus BH's (close over Xmas)

4% pension, rising to 6% employer after 12 months

Death in service x 3 if in the pension or capped at 10k
