About the Role:

We are seeking a part-time Psychology Tutor to work with A-Level students at a high-achieving secondary school in the Ilkley/Leeds area, starting ASAP. This role would suit an experienced A-Level Psychology teacher or an academic specialist with a strong grasp of the AQA specification. Sessions may include class-based support, small group tuition, and one-to-one mentoring.

This is a high-performing and well-respected secondary school with a thriving Sixth Form, nestled between Leeds and Ilkley. Essential Requirements:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is desirable
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make content accessible and engaging

  • Encourage students to analyse data and evaluate studies critically
  • Monitor and report on student progress
  • Support students in developing exam techniques
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help students explore ethical issues and apply theories to real-life contexts
  • Motivate students to reach their full academic potential
