Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge of A Level curriculum and relevant programming languages
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Excellent subject knowledge in Computer Science
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or C#
• Ability to teach complex technical concepts in a simplified way
• Confidence in assessing student progress and adapting accordingly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured A Level Computer Science lessons
• Plan, prepare and deliver schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress regularly
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support
• Create a positive and safe learning environment
• Promote digital literacy and critical thinking
• Prepare students for exams and support coursework completion
• Encourage problem-solving and independent learning
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Foster high expectations and promote academic excellence
