Contract Scotland are working on behalf of a well-respected engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Resident Engineer / Site Inspector for a major multi-phase residential development in Fife.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term infrastructure-led project delivering 600 new homes across four distinct phases, with a particular focus on earthworks and road construction. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring construction works are delivered in line with design specifications, contractual obligations, and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:-
Act as a watching brief on behalf of the consultancy, monitoring contractor progress and compliance on site.

Liaise directly with the client team to provide regular updates and technical advice.

Ensure works are carried out to agreed quality standards, specifications, and timelines.

Maintain accurate records and site reports for audit and compliance purposes.

Support dispute avoidance and resolution with strong contractual awareness.

Experience in a Resident Engineer or Site Inspector role, ideally within residential infrastructure.

Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and road construction.

Proven contractual awareness, particularly in dealing with main contractors and housing developers.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.
