Health & Safety Advisor – Power Transmission Projects (Scotland)
Location: Various sites across North Scotland

Are you passionate about ensuring safety excellence on high-profile infrastructure projects? We’re seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering major power transmission frameworks across Scotland.

About the Role

In this critical role, you’ll be part of a dedicated HSE team working on high-voltage transmission infrastructure projects, supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy future. You’ll provide proactive, hands-on safety leadership across multiple project sites, working closely with construction and project teams to embed a robust health and safety culture from planning through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a positive H&S culture across all operational activities on site

  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments in line with project schedules

  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation

  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction training

  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis

  • Collaborate with subcontractors and project stakeholders to drive best practice

  • Monitor and report on H&S performance metrics and KPIs

About You
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) – essential

  • Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and relevant legislation

  • Experience in the power transmission or civil engineering sectors preferred

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Self-motivated with a hands-on, practical approach to H&S
