Brook Street are delighted to be working with a world leading manufacturing business who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management. The primary responsibility of the Health and Safety Manager will be to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards, as well as to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures specific to the manufacturing sector.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address health and safety hazards and risks.
Coordinate and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Keep abreast of developments in health and safety regulations and standards relevant to the utilities/water sector, and ensure compliance.
Work closely with management and other departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Monitor and analyze health and safety performance data, and prepare reports for management review.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and industry groups, on health and safety initiatives and programs.

Requirements:
A recognised qualification in Health and Safety.
Previous experience in health and safety management, with specific experience in the utilities or water sector.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs and initiatives.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
