The Role
Based in Inverness and covering sites across the North and North East of Scotland, you will champion safe working practices, ensure compliance with legislation, and support project teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently. You will work across multiple locations, providing expert guidance throughout the construction lifecycle and all HV-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead health & safety strategy and compliance across high-voltage and construction projects.
Develop, review, and implement H&S plans, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
Carry out site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring effective follow-up actions.
Support project teams with technical H&S advice spanning HV operations, civil works, and general construction activities.
Ensure all works adhere to CDM regulations, relevant electrical safety standards, and internal governance procedures.
Promote a strong, positive safety culture across all teams and subcontractors.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders to maintain consistent safety expectations.
About You:
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager or Advisor role within high-voltage and construction projects.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification; IOSH/chartered status advantageous.
Strong understanding of HV safety protocols, construction legislation, and CDM regulations.
Confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working across multiple sites with the ability to build strong relationships with project teams.
