We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our clients team and work on the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of large plant machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs on large plant machinery.
Diagnose faults and conduct breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
Install, assemble, and test mechanical systems and components.
Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within plant, heavy machinery, or similar industries.
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
