Exciting Opportunity: Site Agent – Highway Project, North Scotland

Role Overview
Our client, a prominent figure in civil engineering and infrastructure with a growing emphasis on renewable energy, is widely respected for its strong commitment to staff development, excellent staff retention, and continued industry success. Owing to recent project wins and ongoing expansion, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to support a major highways project in North Scotland.

This is a permanent position requiring travel throughout Scotland. As a Site Agent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular health and safety audits
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in line with company safety procedures
  • Lead, mentor, and support project team members as necessary
  • Maintain effective working relationships on site and with external stakeholders
  • Oversee site logistics to maximise productivity
  • Ensure project delivery meets all safety, budgetary, and quality requirements
  • Effectively manage and mitigate any delays

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, delivering infrastructure and/or renewable projects
  • Solid civil engineering background
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve urgent issues
  • Demonstrable experience in team management within construction or similar sectors
  • Flexible, client-focused approach
  • Valid CSCS card
  • SMSTS certification
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
